How to make your Website Prolific

We live in an era where everyone is convinced why they need a website for their business. A site is one of those important assets of any business, if used well, is going to double the profit. Don’t believe me? Here is what Paul Cookson says, “Websites promote you 24/7: No employee will do that” and you have to agree to this statement of him. You must be wondering how to make your website prolific? I am going to answer this question in this article.

Having a website is no big deal but having a website that pays you off is indeed a big deal. According to statistics published by WebsiteHostingRating, there were around 1.94 billion websites on the Internet as of January 2019. It’s huge. As you can see there are billions of websites, you have to work very hard on your site if you want to be found on search engines. A search engine is the best way to be found and popular among your target audiences. As per InternetLiveStats, 3.5 billion searches are made on Google every day! It’s a great way to promote yourself and acquire more visitors(who may turn into your customers) and win over your competitors.

According to Google, 91% of the content on the internet gets no traffic at all. It is suggested to have a prolific website that helps your small business to grow faster. Here are the points to implement in your website to have a prolific website that contributes to the profit of your business:

Follow the trends:

Well, I am not asking you to run behind the trends but keeping your site updated with the latest trends in website designing would help you to survive the competition. Lack of market trends will cost you your customers to your competitor. So be smart, be quick and be trendy.

Make sure your site is accessible in every device:

According to the official statement by Google, more than 50% of the total searches are done from mobile phones. It is one of the strongest reasons for you to have a responsive site. One of the benefits of having a responsive website is that one website will be accessible from all the devices. Apart from this, Google announced that from 1st July 2019, it will use the mobile version of the new website to index and rank the website and we can’t avoid Google’s announcement as it is the major search engine globally. So, it is mandatory to make your website responsive.

SEO friendly website:

As Dr. Christopher Dayagdag says, “Website without visitors is like a ship lost in the horizon”, If you want your website to be found on the internet you have to make sure it is SEO friendly. It’s better to have no website than to have a website with no visitors or no user activity. But what is SEO friendly website? Well everyone, who is aware of the internet & sites have the basic idea about what SEO is. Let’s see some of the important on-page SEO factors which would help your website to rank higher on Google:

Page speed:

It is said that the user decides within 5 seconds if they want to continue on that particular website or not. So your webpage must load within 5 seconds. There are many tools available to check the loading time of the website. Gtmetrix.com and Google page speed insight are the website where you can check the actual loading time of the website and these websites also list down the resources which are causing more loading time and they also tell us how to solve them. So it has become easy to optimize the loading speed of the website.

Meta tag:

A meta tag is another important factor that plays an important role in ranking the webpage in the search result. Make sure to include the important keywords in your Title and Description. Apart from the keywords in Meta tags, remember to use your target keyword in the on-page content of that specific page. It will help Google to identify what your page is talking about and whether it is useful for Google users or not.

Optimize content:

It is important to have great content but it is also important to have SEO friendly content which is reachable to the audience. Optimize your content and make it an SEO friendly content that will include your target keywords.

Please remember, Don’t do keyword stuffing as it is a part of blackhat SEO and Google may put penality on your website or it may also get permanently banned.

Easy navigation:

Provide easy navigation throughout your site. Don’t confuse your visitors with the complex user interface where they have to struggle in finding the page they are interested in. Use hyperlink wherever necessary. Include all the important page links in the header which would help the users to navigate easily or else they are going to exit from your website and you may lose one potential customer.

Apart from the navigation, also provide a call to action buttons wherever needed. A call to action button will help your visitor to take necessary action on the webpage.

Include important information on webpage:

Include every single information which is important to your business on your webpage. Information can be anything like your business achievements, testimonials, contact details, or a portfolio, anything related to your business which needed to show off, include them on your webpage. It will help to develop the trust of the visitors and they may find your business to be reliable and authentic.

Live chat support system:

Well, it is not mandatory to install live chat support on the site. But if you are offering any kind of product or service I would suggest you provide online chat support to the visitors. Visitors can ask questions without sharing their contact details which will help them avoid spam calls and emails. It also helps your visitors get their problems solved immediately.

This is how you can optimize your site to make it work for you. Keep updating your website. Using the same old components for years is going to make your competitors win the market. Keep your site up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends. You can hire a website designing company to do all this work and maintenance of your website.

I have discussed a few of the ways to keep your website up to date to make it prolific. If you feel more points can help the business grow, write them below in the comment section.
