After plenty of rumors, Audi is finally releasing the RS6 super wagon in the American market. This is one of the iconic cars for car enthusiasts that have a knack of anything coolest on Earth. If you can afford it, this is high time to buy one of these amazing wagons to wear the four-rings. Audi recently released the configurator for the RS6, so let’s build one up.
Considering the scarcity of high-performance station wagon in the American market, this would be a very low volume car. Even it seems to have completely vanished in the coming years. Interestingly, Audi has decided to reinvent the species, bringing it all over again in the form of the 2021 RS6 Avant.
Modeled after the already excellent Audi A6 sedan, the newly refined super impressive wagon has received RS-specific bodywork and exclusive go-fast goodies. While the alternatives such as Mercedes E63 AMG S Wagon currently occupies the space, the forthcoming RS6 Avant could truly give then a run for the money.
The all-new RS6 comes with a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 with 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. The impressive power it generates is transferred to the wheels, thanks to its Quattro all-wheel-drive system. According to Audi Greensboro experts, one of the reasons why these fast wagons are so popular in Greensboro is because they render impressive performance practically for the whole family. This is a cool steezy machine but a bit stout as well.
Predictably, the RS6 won’t be a cheap affair. However, when it comes to fairness, this is slightly cheaper than the Mercedes E63 AMG. If you wish, you can load it up with all the Executive Package and all the tech goodies. If you feel you can’t track this car in your fantasy garage, you may go without the sports seats and the carbon-ceramic brakes.
To improve the look and tones, the Black Optic package can be a critical option.
The Avant receives an adjustable air suspension, while a coil-spring suspension with adaptive dampers is optional. Similarly, one can consider having real-wheel steering and a set of 22-inch wheels for an extra coin.
The EPA hasn’t brought about estimates for the RS6 Avant’s fuel economy. However, considering its 591-hp twin-turbo V-8, it would be too much to expect any stellar numbers. The ES6 S Wagon – the RS6 Avant’s main rival – is projected to deliver 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. It seems both cars will face each other in the 200-mile highway fuel-economy test.
As you step inside, you will be stunned by the sophisticated interior design and cutting-edge technology. The dashboard contains multiple digital displays and promotes a luxury aesthetic with premium materials such as leather and faux suede as well as upscale features such as ventilated front seats and a head-up display.
Curious about cargo capability? The Avant offers a decent 20 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. Fold it down, and you will have 59 cubic feet. A power rear liftgate is standard while a motion-activated one is optional.
All in all, the car is impressive. However, it requires on-time care and attention to keep it running smoothly. To keep the car in a good shape, be sure to bring your car in for Audi repair.
